TAVISTOCK AFC held its annual meeting on Sunday and look forward to a big night at Langsford Park on Friday evening with a visit by Plymouth Argyle.
Chairman Chris Fenner told the Times: 'We are pleased to announce that all executive committee members have remained in their posts for the first time in three years. I'm also delighted to welcome Mandy Ewings and Nicola Bradley on to the TAFC committee. As both currently serve on the Community Football Club committee, their induction brings us one step closer to developing a unified management team for "Football in Tavistock.'
Mandy takes on the role of general secretary, while Nicola, in addition to general committee duties, has been appointed as commercial manager for both Tavistock AFC and Tavistock Community Football Club.
Nicola said: 'I'm looking forward to working on behalf of both clubs, while developing relationships with businesses in the area to bring much needed funding to develop football within the town.'
Andy Mitchell, chairman of Tavistock Community Football Club, added: 'Nicola already works tirelessly on behalf of the Community Football Club, so we're grateful that she has agreed to be the commercial representative for football in Tavistock. The additional funds she will raise will help secure the future of football within the town, ensuring that our youngest members can look forward to playing at senior level in Tavistock for years to come.'
n Tavistock AFC will be hosting a Plymouth Argyle XI in a friendly this Friday at Langsford Park, kick-off 7.45. £4 adults and £2 concessions, payable on the gate.
