THREE Tavistock Athletic Club Junior Athletes made the journey to the Midlands to compete at the National Indoor Arena in the Birmingham Open event on February 16.
Brook Adnitt made his club debut in the U20s men and set two personal bests at 60m and 200m sprints.
Jodie Stacey also set two PBs at 200m and 300m distances in the U17s women's category. Emma Ryder completed an excellent day for the athletes with two more PBs in the U15 girls 60m and 200m races.
With the British Athletics Series being held the day before, there were still several top athletes competing in the senior events on the Sunday.
It was a great experience for the juniors to be warming up alongside top British sprinters Mark Lewis Francis and Jodie Williams among others. With Jodie and Emma representing Devon in the regional championships in Torbay on March 1 and two meetings remaining in the Devon Sportshall series it could prove to be an exciting end to the season for Tavistock Athletic Club.
