IT was a brisk and sunny morning for the January Jaunt at Plympton. Nearly 600 runners gathered for the 10k race that starts and finishes at the Plymouth Devils Speedway Track – among them Tavistock Athletic Club members.
The course is on a smooth terrain with medium elevation. Much of the Jaunt is on National Trust land with the midway turning point being Saltram House. Tavistock Athletics Club were well represented with no less than ten runners.
First home for TAC was David Twine, second was Ian Collacott and Tony Shearer finished third. First to finish for TAC women was Danielle James. All TAC runners clocked up good times and many started the year with personal bests. Official times and placings not available going to press.
