SUNDAY, October 9 saw the first of the Frank Elfords’ Westward League cross country races.

Tavistock Athletic Club had a huge turnout with 58 athletes taking part in the different races around the challenging Plymouth Central Park course. There were some outstanding individual and team performances. Many have described the league as the most competitive that they have seen it in 30 years,
