SIXTEEN junior athletes from Tavistock Athletic Club travelled up to Dawlish Leisure Centre in East Devon on Sunday for the new season of indoor sportshall and came away with some good results.

Sportshall Athletics is an indoor form of track and field for children between the ages of 4 and 16. 

Lee Shipton was fourth in the shotput, Sarah Bull fourth in the two laps, her twin sister Olivia Bull third in the six laps, Jenny Milburn first in the six laps and Daniel Mercer fourth in the two lap.

Dan Luckman was second in the speed bounce, Edward Mills first in the javelin and Hayden James second in the sitting and throw.

The next sportshall is in Dawlish on November 16 and the club is hoping more juniors will go and compete.
