THE Tavistock Junior Table Tennis Tournament took place on Sunday in the Community Hall at Horrabridge.

The event was organised by Roger Bowkett on behalf of the Horrabridge Table Tennis Club.

Roger said that 28 youngsters took part and showed great ability, enthusiasm and enjoyment, for many of them this was the first competition in which they had taken part.

He said: 'It was also very pleasing to see so many parents and supporters coming to watch.'

The trophies were presented by the chairman Roy Young, who thanked Roger for his hard work, together with the other coaches and parents who helped to make the tournament so successful.

The winners and runners~up: Under 18s, Luke Bennett and Thomas Doidge; U12s boys, Luke Bennett and Jim Scott; U9s boys, Ptolomy Beman and Tom Madge; U11s girls, Mari Baldwin and Angharad Beman; U9s girls, Bethany Pettis and Chloe Anderson.
