CONSERVATIVE A achieved an element of revenge over Golf A in the Tavistock Snooker League, reversing their previous heavy loss with a 3-2 win this time round.

With two key players missing it was left to ‘out of form’ Bell and sub Cook along with Carruthers (31) to produce the goods for Con A. Sparkling snooker from Whitley (21) and Ruth ensured that Golf also went home with something.

West Devon A continued their quest for the title with a 3-2 win over Conservative B. It was not without scares though with Con B’s Lillicrap and Neale taking two frames from the league leaders with Lawrence, Taylor and Kevin Rich responding to seal a hard fought victory for West Devon A.

Conservative C continued what is for them a remarkable season with yet another win as they beat West Devon C 3-2.

Coming back from two down is never easy but that is just what Con C did. West Devon’s lead was ably provided by Elliott and Williams before the Davey for Con C stopped the rot. Then it was captain Clive Jago who levelled proceedings, allowing Davies the opportunity to take the last frame and provide victory for the Con C.
