ON November 19, members of the Hatherleigh Shooting Club competed in a handicap shoot for the De La Fontaine cup.  There was a tie for top handicap score with Oliver Fay, Digger Kershaw and Colin Taylor. Oliver withdrew, already having top score for the day and the cup winner was decided by a ‘sudden death’ shoot out between Colin Taylor and Digger Kershaw.  Colin Taylor was the winner. Top gun of the day was Oliver Fay with 41, followed by John Board on 38. Colin Taylor receives the De La Fontaine cup from John, landlord of the Duke of York Iddesleigh.
