BROTHER and sister runners crossed the line together at the finish of the Bristol 10 kilometre run earlier this month.
Steve Knott, aged 53, from Winkleigh and his sister, Amelia Llewellen, from Yate in Bristol took part along with 10,000 other runners — coming home in a respectable time of 1 hour 04 mins.
Steve, who was wearing a shirt of Okehampton Rugby Club shirt — for whom his son Chris plays, said: 'This was the first time I took part in this event. I have been training around the local lanes for some months and was pleased to find at the age of 53 my fitness was good on the day!
'Amelia and I have been wanting to do something like this for ages. I loved doing it, it was a fantastic atmosphere, just brilliant.'
