Tavistock Specials 5

Princetown 7

THERE was a great atmosphere again as these two sides met for their annual friendly on Sunday.

The Tavistock Specials wore the Plymouth Argyle homekit which was donated to the Son-Rise cup event and with the intense heat the light colours made playing football a little more bearable!

A good number of people came to watch the game held on the all weather pitches at Crowndale and they were joined by Caroline Goldring and her mother and father Graham from mobile caterers 'Grub Up.'

Caroline has begun chemotherapy to fight her battle with cancer and so subs from both teams were donated to her cancer fund which will enable Caroline to buy a wig to help her keep her dignity while she goes through her personal battle. All the Specials and Princetown players loved meeting Caroline.

The game itself was a cracking battle with the final score 7-5 to Princetown.
