TAMAR and Tavy Gig Club and Cotehele Quay Gig Club members were among those rowing on the 126 gigs taking part in the 23rd annual World Pilot Gig Championships at the Isles of Scilly this weekend.

Good weather with blue skies and sunshine to help in what organisers say 'was the best ever' championships.

Teams from France and Holland were drawn to the popular annual event with the islands tripling in population to more than 7,000 for the event.
