WHAT a wonderful year for Tavistock Tennis Club juniors who were unbeaten in The Plymouth and District League this season winning their division.

Joe Rizk, Issey Hillman, Frankie Petersen, Olivia Clark, Zara Rizk, Lewis Critchley, Bertie McErlain and Will Hutton all played hard and close matches against four local teams. They showed great sportsmanship at all times resulting in friendly matches enjoyed by all players.

Under the guidance and leadership of their coach Rhys Dunsford, Tavistock Juniors are going from strength to strength. They now have a strong tour squad and very young members showing great promise and enthusiasm.

Claudine Sparks, a club spokesperson, said: ‘The future is looking great with our new courts nearly ready. We would really welcome new juniors anytime to come and play this great sport.’
