THE Okehampton Junior Netball  season drew to a close in traditional style with its annual tournament. This proved a great opportunity for the girls to show their netball skill and their marked improvement from the beginning of the season was obvious to see.

The Gummy Bears were awarded a shield and medals as overall winner of the tournament, with The Rockets in second place. The Rockets also received a shield and medals as overall winners of the season, with the Gummy Bears runners-up.

Individual trophies were given to Emma Pike as the most voted umpires' player throughout the season, and jointly Brooke Ewen and Grace James as the players' player.

Wendy Raymond was thanked for the coaching sessions she put on for the girls and thanks were also given to Sadie Ash, Becky  Eustace, and Angela Herrod-Taylor for their involvement in the league and invaluable contribution of umpiring the weekly matches. Members gave a special thanks to Lynn Strawbridge for all her hard work and enthusiasm ensuring the smooth running of the league.
