TAKING advantage of the dry weather the ladies of Tavistock Golf Club played their postponed match between the secretary and the handicap secretary teams.

The secretary's team won by six and a half to four and a half — the first win for the secretary in three years!

Winners in the qualifying round of the men's Daily Mail foursomes were Mike Beveridge and Mike Thrasher; runners-up were Alan Gawman and Nick Coe. 

In the monthly medal Paul Crump had an excellent nett 65 in division one, second was Mike Apps nett 75 and, in third place, was Jim Grant with nett 79. 

First in division two was Darren Hall with nett 67, second Tommy Rawlinson nett 70 and third was Lee Bartlett nett 71.
