THREE girls from Mount House School went to Flaine in France to compete in the 55th British Schoolgirls' Ski Race competition.

In all, there were 50 teams from schools all over Britain in the event. Mount House was the only stand-alone Prep school taking part, and were the youngest team of all.

The event consists of two series of runs, a giant slalom on the first day, and a parallel slalom racing head-to head against other schools on the second.

The Mount House team comprised Olivia Lopes, Romilly Carrick and Helen Jackman. They gave an excellent account of themselves, finishing 42nd out of 50 teams in the competition.
