KELLY College U13s opened their cricket season with a 20 run victory over Wellington School. It was a low scoring match played on a damp ground following recent torrential rain.

Tight bowling by Wellington reduced Kelly to 16-2 before Callum Worth anchored the innings and Tristan Smith, Torban May and Jo Routly began to swing the bat as Kelly ended on 69.

In reply, Wellington started briskly but accurate bowling supported by sharp fielding from Ben Staig, Ben Dunlop, Ted Jenks and wicket-keeper Jack Morris put a check on their progress. Ben Grove with five wickets and Callum Worth with four helped reduce Wellington to 49 runs.

n Both the Mount House Colts' Cricket teams opened the season with home matches against Exeter Cathedral School, winning one and losing the other. The Mount House A team scored 114 for 7 in 20 overs including a 47 not out by Jack Smyly. Bowlers Jonty Walliker and Hunter Strand bowled well to reduce Exeter to 26 all out

The Colts B match was played in pairs format, and batting first Exeter posted a very impressive total of 328 in their 20 overs while in reply Mount House scored 249.
