A YOUNG swimmer has been presented with a lifeguarding award after working to complete his Rookie lifeguard gold three course at Meadowlands Leisure Pool. Dave Smith, the business manager at Meadowlands, is pictured presenting Louis Sampson, aged just 13, with his award. Louis, from Launceston, has completed this course at a young age, and is now planning to continue to improve his swimming and join the lifesaving club at the pool, whilst working towards his Rookie Master certificate.
