ON Saturday at Okehampton Golf Club, in beautiful autumnal sunshine, a four ball better ball Stableford com-petition was held.

The winners of division one were Rod Wright and Ray Stevens with 43 points after countback on the back nine from in second Barry Down and Matt Mills, with Richard McFarlane and Phil Atherton third on 42pts.

Division two winners were Mike Lang and Geoff Fidler with 42 pts, closely followed by Alan Grimshaw and Mike Davis in second with 41pts. Tim Butler and Norman Heslop were third with 40pts.

On Wednesday the ladies played their annual turkey trot Stableford com-petition.

This resulted in a close contest with the top three ladies all achieving 33 points. After countback Maureen Willcocks was the winner with Lin Atkinson second and Maggie Caws third.
