THE annual Goodacre Cup Regatta is set to return this month to Roadford Lake. The three day regatta will take place during the August Bank Holiday weekend 23-25 and is one of the highlights of the South West Lakes Trust sailing calendar! The Goodacre Cup is an open event hosted jointly by South West Lakes Trust and the Roadford Lake Sailing Club and open to all SWLT members as well as any other sailors. This year's event will be sponsored by Ambrosia and there will be prizes and trophies to be won. It promises some great racing. Entrants can either enter their own boat or there will be some dinghies available to hire from Roadford. As well as sailing there will be a wide range of activities at Roadford including windsurfing, kayaking and fishing. Land based activities also include high ropes, indoor climbing and archery.
