SOME of the Tavistock Judo Club youngsters received their first ever grades.

The club, which is a satellite club of Plymouth Judo Club, has been going for a year and a half now and meet at Tavistock College gym.

Charles Knape, their sensei, said: 'The kids have all worked really hard and seven of them graded for the first time.

'Sam, Alexander, Mia, Joey, Charlotte, Rueben and Phoebe who all passed their their first Mon red belt.'
