TAMAR and Tavy were second in the Plate Race at the junior U16s Newquay Championship earlier this month. The all boy crew of Ben Milligan, Ethan Lamerton, Cameron McKay, Will Gardner, Ben Luke, and Elliott Overnell - the youngest at only 11 years-old — competed along with 25 other clubs. The crew, who were coxed by their coach Tricia Stewart, rowed magnificently! The T and T youngsters dug deep and rowed their hearts out as they overtook four other gigs to finish in second place. The courage, determination and guts they showed after such an unlucky start was a reflection of this promising crew.
