WHITCHURCH Wayfarers were fortunate to get any play in on another wet Saturday.

Playing away at Uplyme and Lyme Regis the weather held off for a couple of hours. In that time Whitchurch had league leaders 'on the ropes' according to wicketkeeper Credicott.

Young Josh Towl showed his potential with an opening spell for the visitors of six overs conceding a miserly 11 runs. He was ably backed up by Freddie Frost.
