TAVISTOCK Squash and­ Racketball Club’s monthly competition in January was a racketball team event.

With a great turnout there six teams of three players which produced a great evening of racketball, good conversation and plenty of support for team members. There were lots of close games with almost everyone winning at least one of their games. Three players ended the evening unbeaten. With two of those players being in one team, the team of Jerry Forbes, Maggie Lilley and Pete Walshe came away triumphant.

Simon Powell, a club spokesman, said: ‘We had players new to the game and others new to the monthly competitions and so it was a very successful evening for the club.’
