SPOONERS and West Dartmoor novice eventing team qualified for the National Pony Club Championships during testing conditions at St Leonard's Equestrian Centre on Sunday.

The team of Lucy Scott, Sam Underwood, Elsa Kent and Emma Manton won the area qualifier by some margin and will be joined by Katie Spry who qualified in the open section.

Katie will also be going to the championships with the Spooner's open dressage team of Rachel Ware, Kelcey Pillage and Lily Spry. Rachel also qualified for the championships in the open showjumping area qualifiers held recently.
