THIRTEEN swimmers from Tavistock Swimming Club travelled to Millfield School, Street to compete in the Frome Long Course Autumn Meet.

They swam in 77 events over the two days and they achieved 60 personal best times in total, with every swimmer gaining at least one personal best time. From the results they achieve 61 top 8 positions, winning 37 medals, including seven bronze medals, 16 silver, and 6 gold!

Cameron McGurk, who was celebrating his 18th birthday, achieved first places in all his four events. Harriet Edwards also came first in the 400m Freestyle and Alex Francis in the 100m freestyle.

The team gained great experience and showed great strength at this long course meet and came away with their heads held high.

Competing at the event were: Ben Bowles, Jess Bowles, Jessamy Clemens, Harriet Edwards, Emily France, Jake France, Alex Francis, Amber Francis, Thanae Garland-Tsirka, Ryan Lillyman, Cameron McGurk, Luke Stephens and Sarah Teague.
