CORNISH side Probus were unlucky not to come away with a draw in this encounter with the West Devon side.

Bere Alston scored first from a free-kick taken by Paul Simpson and this was soon doubled when from a corner a Will Westlake header hit the bar; the ball dropped to Steven Damen who slid it to Chris Bray to finish off.

In the second half the home team Chris Bray again pounced to score from close range to make it 3-0.

But Probus were not yet finished and goals from Dan Vincent and Sam Bullen gave Bere Alston a scare but they held on to take the three points. Bere Alston are now equal to Saltash on points but have two games in hand.
