A STRONG team of young athletes from Mount House School travelled to Birmingham for the National Prep Schools Athletics Championships, held in the Alexander Stadium. They had qualified to compete at the nationals with the best prep school athletes from all over the country. The Mount House team once again came home having won gold in one event, and set new school records in the three others. Star performer for Mount House was Emily Lumley, who took the gold medal in the girls' U12s shot putt. School record breakers were Martha Jacobs in the U14s triple jump; Tess Campbell-Bareham in the girls' U12s 1,500 and Milly Ridgers in the girls' U14s 200 metres. The Mount House Athletics coach Steve Buckley was delighted with the team's performances.
