ON Saturday at Okehampton Golf Club a men's four ball open competition was held.

There were many representatives from several different golf clubs and with a full start sheet and the course in immaculate condition a healthy competition was inevitable.

The overall winners with 45 points were Dave Bickle and Lee Pengelly from Okehampton. Second overall after countback were Aaron West and Aaron Carpannini with 43 from, in third Martin Cox and Chris Hurley all from Okehampton. The best visitor prize went to Michael McManus and Nathan Smith from Portmore with 40pts on the back nine from, in second Ray Pipe and Nick Jenkins from Newquay. Best combination prize was awarded to Matt Soby and Jason Morris from Okehampton and Teign Valley Golf Clubs.

On Sunday the Dora Milner Mixed Trophy was contested the winners with a gross score of 83 nett 68 were Rod Milsom-Smith and Lin Hazelton. Second with gross 90 nett 71 were Alan Deakin and lady captain Jane Warren.
