THE final of Tavistock Squash and Racketball Club's Peter Robertson squash doubles competition was played last Thursday.
This year's winners were Pete Walshe and Andy Gauler.
The tournament is held every year in honour and memory of Peter Robertson, a keen squash player and 'canny' doubles' player who died a few years ago.
In a close and competitive match Pete and Andy came through 3-2 against Richard Baxter and Gidon Reid. The game could have gone either way, but the two players who had played with Peter Robertson in the past, clearly had some of his 'brilliance' rubbing off on them.
