YELVERTON swimmer Jan Langton was voted Devon County Swimming Association's Swimmer of the Year for 2012.

This topped off an amazing final year of competition which saw her racing in the British Championships and Paralympic trials in the Olympic pool last March, where she won a bronze medal in the 50m butterfly.

She was also awarded Cerebral Palsy Swimmer of the Year in recognition of her achievements.

She represented Team GB from 2005 at the Cerebral Palsy World Games winning seven medals.

Jan was coached at Kelly College by Archie and Robin Brew where she has earned respect from all who know her for her determined and single minded attitude in training and in pursuit of her goals.
