He ran a great race finishing an excellent 15th overall in a time of 1 hour 19 minutes 57 seconds.
The host club Axe Valley Harriers also organize the infamous Grizzly race which takes place in a few weeks time.
The event was a good training run for the Grizzly entrants, and on a day with temperatures hovering around freezing, the river crossings presented an extra challenge on the 10 mile multi-terrain route with its three punishing hills.
n WHILE on a family visit to Essex, Mags Jarvis noticed that there was a Park Run being held at nearby Chelmsford Central Park.
Mags could not resist going along together with her daughter and finished first FV55 in a time of 24 minutes 45 seconds on this course over the footpath and cycle tracks around Central and Admiral's Park. She also collected a silver award for this distance.
An international initiative sponsored by Adidas, Sweatshop and Lucozade which makes it possible for these events to be free, Park Runs are weekly, timed 5k races held at locations all over the country and open to all abilities.
