A GROUP of runners from Okehampton Running Club put in some good performances at the third race of the Frank Elford Cross Country League which took place in Exeter.

Debbie Marsden came sixth in the Devon Championships and will be representing the county at the South West Championships in Bicton on December 20. She also came second in the female veteran 35 category.

Young Will Lamerton is surely a star in the making coming third in the U17 boys’ section with a time that would have placed him second in the Devon Championships had he been entered.

Stuart May and Paul Crease improved their overall positions from their runs at the last race in Plymouth. Chris Turner and Anne Binns for ORCs were taking part in their first cross country competition.
