RUNNERS are wanted to join in Bere Pen 10K to take up the 'three down, three up road race on Sunday, May 6.

The popular run around the Bere Peninsula passes along the River Tamar. The route starts at Bere Alston School and winds its way down to Weir Quay. The first half of the run is very fast downhill making it easy for the runners to cover the ground in good time however, once they reach the flat. It is then a hard flog up some very steep hills before re-entering the village for a fast downhill to the finish at the school.

Prizes for first senior man and woman, veteran classes and first local home. Entry fee is £10, with discounts at £8.
