OLD Kelleians returned to Kelly College for their annual challenge match against the school's first XI in a 27 overs a side match.
Kelly's captain Ben Williams won the toss and invited the OKs to bat who were 96 , all out. Jonathan Elliott top scored with 18 runs, supported by Andrew Dakin with 10 and Bruce Broughton with 13.The wickets were shared around the Kelly bowlers but the most impressive figures were from 14 year-old Harry Dunlop who took 2-10.
In reply Kelly reached the target with 100-8 with four overs in hand and two wickets to spare. Last year's first team players Elliott and Rickard were the most successful bowlers with two wickets each.
Although Kelly beat the old boys, they made very hard work of chasing a low total, producing what turned out to be quite a close and exciting finish.
