Over the last two weekends Okehampton Otters Swimming and Lifesaving Club took part in the Devon Developments and Devon Sprints.

The Otters had ten swimmers competing in 56 events, achieving 47 personal best times. The swimmers also managed to pick up eight gold, three silvers and five bronze medals.

Head coach David Dennis said: ‘This is a wonderful achievement. Our swimmers average about two to three hours training per week and they are swimming against people who will train for almost 10 hours so to hold their own and beat them is unbelievable. I never expected so many personal bests. Well done to all the Otters who took part.’
