Dan Yeoman at string 5 effectively used his drop shots to win a keenly competitive match 3-0. Simon Ramsay at string 4 took the first two games, hitting good depth and width.
However, a spirited fight back in the third and fourth games by his opponent levelled the match at 2-2. Superior fitness came into effect with Simon taking the fifth game 15-7.
Phil Allin, after some gruelling, lung busting points, used his higher level of fitness to win a great match 3-2.
Phil Kemsley at string 2 also focused on his consistency of depth, width, and utilising the drop, eventually wining 3-1. Arnie Searle at string 1 met an evenly matched and atheltic opponent and put up a great fight, eventually losing 3-2.
Overall, Okehampton won 4-1 in matches — a victory that sets them up well for the remaining fixtures.
