ON Saturday at Okehampton Golf Club competitors took part in an individual medal.

The winner of division one with nett 62 was Richard Reid. In second with nett 65 was Jerry Lock closely followed by Kevin Cornwall with nett 66.

Division two was won by Aaron West with an impressive nett 61 and coming in second with nett 65 was Fred Cooke. Third place was awarded to to Terry Steer with nett 66.

Division three was won by Roger Slack with nett 65 with Stephen Pike second with nett 66 and in third Adrian Raymond with nett 66.

Okehampton Golf Club held their Ladies Texas Scramble Open. One of the largest fields this popular ladies event has witnessed, representing 25 different golf clubs, competed in beautiful warm sunshine.

Overall winners on the day from Okehampton and Ashbury Golf Clubs were Sue Stanbury, Mo Huggins and Lorna Rolfe with a nett 57.4; second overall were Jane Warren, Lin Atkinson and Fran Shrubsole from Okehampton & Downes Crediton Golf Clubs with nett 58.0.

The best combination team from Okehampton Golf Club and Exeter Golf and Country Club were Sylvie Gowers, Jenni Hutchinson and Annie Norman with 58.8.

The best visitors team were Gale Reed, Teresa Hughes and Sally Hill from Tavistock Golf Club with nett 59.8.
