RICHARD and George Nye from North Tawton have returned from the fifth WKC World kickboxing in Taranto Italy last week having both reached the semi finals .

George, aged 15, fought in the -60kg cadets boys  points  categordy aged 13-15.

He hadd a great fight against a Canadian fighter beating him 10 points to 6, He faced  the world champion and led the fight in the first sector being 4-1 up but went out  6-4 in the final minutes taking the bronze medal to the eventual gold medal winner.

Richard, aged  47 fighting in the vets -85 kg + 42 years category.

He dominated his Canadian opponent with punches and kicks going through to the semi finals. He lost to the multi world champion from the USA but took home a well earned bronze medal.
