EVERYONE at North Tawton Rugby Club was celebrating this weekend at the opening of the club's brand new kitchen.

The clubhouse's new kitchen, which was officially opened last Saturday, has been installed thanks to a Sport England's Inspired Facilities grant and a grant from the RFU.

The Inspired Facilities fund is focused on making it easier for community groups to improve and refurbish sports clubs or transform non-sporting venues into modern grassroots sports facilities.

Investing £65- million of National Lottery funding in up to 1,000 community sports projects between 2011 and 2014, the fund is part of Sport England's programme to deliver a London 2012 legacy of increased participation in sport.

Among those attending the kitchen's grand opening were Central Devon MP Mel Stride, club supporters and sponsors.

Following the grand opening, the club held a sponsor's lunch, cooked in the new kitchen.
