DISTRICT Sports organised and ran their annual dodgeball tournament for all the local schools on Saturday at Horrabridge.

There was more than 80 children who attended the event from Bere Alston, St Andrews, hosts Horrabridge, Tavistock Primary and Plymouth schools St Edwards and Compton Primary School.

The eventual winners were St Andrews Primary School, Buckland Monachorum, for the Year 5/6 and to St Edwards School who won the Year 3/4.

A spokesperson for the league said: ‘It was a fantastic to see all of the children demonstrating their skills today in a competitive environment as well as making new friends and keeping active.

‘We’re very much looking forward to the rematch early next year.’
