FOLLOWING the Tavistock Golf Club's annual meeting the new club captain Richard Burrows and the lady captain Sue Coles took on their vice captains , Richard Smith and Patty Congo, at the Captain's drive-in.  Both sides came in with 33 points but the club and lady captain claimed victory with a winning back nine.

The winning team in this popular event was Tom Dodd and Barry Shipton with 41pts closely followed by George and Nicky Gawman and Alan Gawman and Dominic Rehaag with 40pts. 

In the men's RNLI medal junior Will Stenhouse topped division one with nett 71 with fellow junior Mike Henderson claiming second place with nett 73 on countback from Nick Mier, Sam Jessop and Brian Manhire.   In division two Daniel Poole had a superb nett 68, second was Dave Symons with nett 74 on countback from Barry Tillyer and Jim Hunter.

In the ladies EWGA medal Marion Stenhouse had a nett 75 on countback from Belinda McSherry, third was Nicky Gawman with nett 77 on countback from Bridget Luckham and Gilly Jarvis.

In the second round of the Mail on Sunday the Tavistock ladies had an excellent win over Launceston 4-1.
