Plymouth Marjon Kestrels 30
COMING up against a Kestrels side who are top of the league and yet to lose a single game, this was always going to be a tough proposition for Horrabridge.
With experience on their side though, it was not a runaway success for the young Marjons. A good start for Horrabridge saw some great defending by Scott in the D and some intelligent passing from centre court players Burgess, Callard, Morel and Shadrick against a fast Marjons. 4-8
In the second quarter Horrabridge defence piled on the pressure with some great attacking passes into the D against a strong Marjon defence from Callard, Burgess and Nevin.
A few changes were made in defence and attack; Scott for Morel at GK and Demery for Nevin at C for the third quarter. There were some excellent interceptions and great passing but Horrabridge could not capitalise on a very strong Marjons. 11-25.
More changes were made — Morel for Scott at GK and Demery for Nevin at C.
Horrabridge came out with heads held high and a determination to keep the pressure on.
Player of the match was Demery at centre but the entire team put in good performances.
