TAVYSIDE Badminton were awarded a £100 voucher by Badminton England after running a successful summer badminton activity at the Tavistock Community Sports Centre. As part of Badminton England's 'Summer of Badminton' initiative, Tavyside Badminton set up a summer badminton session for juniors and adults. Over 12 weeks 20 people attended the sessions and enjoyed playing club badminton. The £100 voucher will be used to buy shuttles for the new season. Alongside the junior coaching sessions on a Saturday morning and, as a direct result of the success of the summer sessions, Tavyside Badminton now run a club session on a Monday evening (7pm-10pm) at the Tavistock Community Sports Centre. New players are welcome to come along and play at their first session for free. Rackets may be borrowed.
