FIVE Mount House pupils, Louis Down, Finlay Rose, Ed FitzGerald, Hunter Strand and Jo Beck took part in the British Schoolboy Ski Races at Hasliberg in Switzerland.

On a course set to challenge the much more experienced 16 to 18-year old competitors, the Mount House boys performed well with all five making it down in respectable times.

On the second day, in the more technical Slalom event, the team were placed 26th out of the 31 competing teams.

This was an exceptionally good result, and very encouraging for a young inexperienced team racing against generally older and much more experienced competition, including former Mount House ski team members Ben Pugsley and Oscar Norris, who are competing now for Sherborne School.
