TONY Joe Trett Oliver from Mount Kelly swam a lifetime best of more than three seconds to win a silver in the final of the men’s junior 400 intermediate at the British Swimming Champonships.
In doing so Tony (pictured right) made the qualifying standard to represent GB at this summer’s European Junior Championships in Israel. He set a new Mount Kelly record in the 18 year-old age group which was previously set by current inter-national and British senior champion, Cameron Brodie.
Athena Clayson broke Sharron Davies 35-year-old record in the 100m freestyle in 57.13 seconds and also came sixth the 100m backstroke.
Niamh Robinson was seventh in the 200m breastroke.
