MOUNT House pupils put in some terrific performances to win the overall title at the 20th annual inter-school cross-country races at St Petroc's School in Bude. Competing in four separate categories against 20 other schools, the Mount House teams came either second or third in each, with several children coming very close to taking individuals titles.

THE annual inter-house cross country races at Mount House School were run in chilly, damp conditions over a hilly course laid out in the school grounds.

It consists of three races, one each for junior, Intermediate and Senior pupils, with boys and girls running together.

In the junior race, the boys was won by Joseph Du'Gay (Hawks) and first girl was Annaliese Wright (Owls) with the winning house Otters. Jonty Walliker (Kangs) won the intermediate race, with Romilly Carrick fastest girl, the team event was won by Owls.

Winner of the senior race was Will Stone (Kangs) and fastest girl Jessica Huntington. Otters won the senior inter-house title.
