MOUNT House U11A hockey team players found themselves in an evenly fought match against Truro Prep.

They were forced to defend against early pressure, but Bella Snow and Aggie Cox stood firm in defence. Truro managed to score, and going behind by a goal spurred the Mount House forwards into action.

A determined run by Tess Campbell-Bareham from the right wing, followed by a great cross found Annaliese Wright, who swept the ball home with a first time shot, as a training ground move paid off. Tess Campbell-Bareham was at the end of a fine move to hit a powerful shot past the Truro keeper.

Alice Lamb swept the ball into the corner of the net and then added her second from a deflection off a well-struck short corner. Truro came back with two well-worked goals that made for an exciting finish to the game, as Mount House held on for a 4-3 victory.
