AFTER winning their league this season by 15 points, Tavistock CFC U13s tasted more success in the Exeter City FC six-a-side competiton last weekend.
The Tavistock team were one of 20 of the best teams from all over the South West from Truro to Bridgewater.
After playing five group games and not conceding a goal, Tavistock proceeded to the quarter finals against Stokehill which they drew 1-1 and went on to win 4-3 on penalties. In the semi-final against Bridgwater Bay they won 1-0 to earn a final spot against Chumleigh. The final lived up to expectations with high standards set by both teams.
For Tavistock Max was superb between the posts, with Sam and Errikos outstanding at the back, Jarred, Soul and Louis working hard in the middle and Tom and Ryan running relentlessly up front.
In the final, late in the game, Louis passed to Jared who ran down the wing and slotted it through to Ryan in the middle who smashed it first time into the back of the net to give Tavistock CFC U13s the six-a-side title.
