Callington 2
Bere Alston United 0
BERE Alston's inability to take chances cost them their unbeaten start to the season. Callington took the lead when Mike Curtis was caught in possession, resulting in a goal.
Ten minutes into the second half Bere's defence stood rooted to the spot from a corner for Callington to score with a header — now Bere woke up and pounded the goal. This saw Callington's defence standing firm and when it was breached their keeper was in superb form to stop them.

Bere Alston United 1
Plymouth Marjon 2
BERE Alston outplayed Marjon but lost because the forwards missed chance after chance.
Their own goal came when a poor shot was seized upon by Dan Follet to chip over the keeper. Alex Lowe, through on goal, delayed his shot until he was tackled by three Marjon defenders.
The second half saw exactly the same when the Bere forwards were guilty of trying to walk the ball into the net.
With ten minutes to go Wayne Smalley was robbed of possession for Marjon to score.
More chances were wasted by Bere, and with extra time on the cards in injury time, a clearance by Gerald Lake hit a Marjon's player in the back 35 yards out to rebound over him to score.
