MID Devon Pony Club’s tetrathletes had a great day at Mount Kelly College on Sunday, competing in a triathlon run by their neighbours Spooners and West Dartmoor.

Competition was hot, with 17 teams entered, but Mid Devon’s two teams did superbly. Christopher Wrey, Lettie Cowling and Laurie Bilton made up the Mid Devon Devils and  finished fourth, while Rob Bilton, Harry Robinson, Casey Plaskett and Saxon Terry of the Mid Devon Demons finished sixth.

Madeleine Leech competed in the adult class, finishing second, only beaten by Anna Bilton, who showed her boys, Laurie and Rob, how it should be done by winning the class with the best shoot and run,

In the individual classes, Zara Plaskett was sixth out of 13 in the biathlon. Harry Robinson excelled in the 9 yrs and under class, finishing third out of 20.

The mini boys class was highly competitive, with Christopher Wrey coming second after a stunning run and Rob Bilton finishing third. In the junior classes, Laurie Bilton did really well to finish second and Lettie Cowling produced a high scoring swim to finish fourth in the girls’ class.
